The Chevron mobile app can seamlessly integrate with your car’s dashboard display.

In its first year, the Chevron Texaco Rewards program has marked a major milestone: 1.35 million members and counting.

Named one of the year’s best loyalty programs by Newsweek, the program integrates with Chevron and Texaco mobile apps, delivers discounts to loyal consumers and helps retailers improve their offerings.

“We are committed to our customers and providing an exceptional experience for them. Reaching 1 million users within six months of launching our Chevron Texaco Rewards program and seeing mobile app usage rise 250% since we redesigned the mobile app tells me we are on the right track.”

How it Started

Protecting customers from Covid-19 was top of mind during the pandemic. So, Chevron enhanced its mobile apps to help limit human contact at the pump. In an industry first, the apps connect to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Users can now pay for fuel from inside their vehicle though their dashboard navigation unit.

The apps had another key addition in July 2022: the Chevron and Texaco Rewards program.

How it's Going

Wrapping up its rollout, the rewards program is expected to be available across the United States by the end of 2023. And the Chevron app, overall, is generating positive reviews—more on that in a minute.

Consumers are using the apps to locate the closest pump, car wash, electric vehicle (EV) charge spot or renewable diesel. It helps them find the fuel or services they want when they want them.

Loyalty for Listening

Paying close attention to user feedback has been key to the program’s success.

“We are constantly evolving our offerings, products and services to align with consumer expectations,” said Mary Duffy, Chevron proprietary loyalty specialist. “This extends to loyalty programs which reward consumers for their continued business.”

Comments and ratings in the Apple App and Google Play stores show the Chevron mobile app is a hit. It has a 4.9/5-star rating across almost 100,000 reviews.

“We seek to improve the experience, build the one-to-one connection and enhance the app features and functionality to keep consumers engaged,” said Jeena Lee, Chevron and Texaco apps product manager.

“It’s our way of keeping the consumer at the forefront.”
